Product Description:
The 10.F5.G1B-2A00 is an AC inverter drive built by KEB and placed within the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It converts fixed mains power to a variable voltage and frequency output so that asynchronous or synchronous motors can be speed regulated in machinery, conveyors, and general automation axes. Its integrated control electronics and braking transistor let it connect directly to three-phase supplies and PLCs in industrial plants.
The drive is specified for a nominal input of 230 VAC, with an allowable window from 180 to 260 VAC that accommodates voltage fluctuations on factory lines. Internally, a 250 to 370 VDC link supplies the inverter stage. The power section can deliver a continuous output current of 10 A and up to 4 kVA, supporting 3 HP motors. Output frequency is adjustable between 0–400 Hz, permitting both low-speed torque tasks and oversynchronous operation. Power devices are pulsed at a maximum carrier of 16 kHz, while regular operation is set at 8 kHz to balance acoustic noise and switching losses. The unit operates reliably within an ambient band of -10–45 °C, matching control cabinet conditions. Size code 10 indicates the enclosure size, and the unit does not include an encoder card.
For thermal stability, the heat sink may rise to 90 °C before derating is required. The housing has an IP20 rating, so the drive should be installed inside a protected enclosure where finger-safe access is sufficient. During rapid deceleration events, the integrated transistor channels up to 12 A through an external resistor no smaller than 33 Ω, preventing DC bus overvoltage. Short load spikes can be handled with a transient current of 18 A, supporting brief peak-torque demands without tripping. The drive is compatible with 50/60 Hz mains, and the braking circuit supports controlled motor stopping during variable duty cycles.
