The 10.F5.CBB-YM00 is an axis drive module produced by KEB and assigned to the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. As a compact controller, it supplies three-phase induction or synchronous motors with variable voltage and frequency, allowing conveyor, pump, and positioning systems to regulate speed without mechanical throttling. The unit is supplied without an encoder feedback card and uses housing form factor code B. It also fits the mechanical outline associated with inverter size code 10 in the Combivert F5 product range. These features support installation in control cabinets where a compact motor controller is required for variable-speed operation.
This drive connects to a three-phase mains supply at 400 V AC and feeds the motor terminals with a continuous line current of 5.8 A. Under steady operating conditions, the output apparent power reaches 4.0 kVA. The output frequency extends up to 599 Hz, enabling the operation of high-speed spindles or blowers. The internal IGBT bridge can operate at a carrier frequency of 16 kHz to reduce audible motor noise, while the standard switching frequency is 8 kHz. During acceleration or sudden load changes, the power stage tolerates a short-term current of 10.4 A. The overcurrent trip activates at 12.5 A to protect the semiconductor devices from excessive electrical stress. With a maximum general motor rating of 3 HP, the drive is suitable for small and medium IEC motors that require responsive torque and speed control.
An optional dynamic brake can draw up to 10 A through an external resistor with a minimum resistance of 82 Ω, keeping the DC bus voltage within safe operating limits during deceleration. The brake chopper, main rectifier, and control electronics are coordinated by a compact digital signal processor, and the maximum recommended main fuse is 16 A. The drive weighs 2 kg, which reduces the load placed on the mounting panel. Its low mass permits vertical installation without additional structural bracing. The compact enclosure is also suitable for control cabinets with limited installation space.
