The 10.F5.CBB-YA50 is an axis drive manufactured by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It regulates induction or synchronous motors in automated production lines, packaging stations, and material-handling cells. Wiring can be connected to both the three-phase AC mains and a shared DC bus, allowing flexible installation in centralized or distributed cabinets. By integrating standard fieldbus support and onboard control electronics, the unit removes the need for separate converters when precise speed or torque control is required in multi-axis platforms. This layout also supports compact control panels where space for extra hardware is limited.
Signal processing starts with 2 analog inputs that accept process variables, each converted with 12 bit analog resolution for fine scaling in the control loop. Two analog outputs mirror internal setpoints for external recorders, while the command layer is expanded by 8 digital inputs that react to PNP or NPN logic and 2 digital outputs for transistor switching. A pair of Form C relay outputs rated at 30 VDC and 1 A provides hardwired status signals for interlocks and supervisory circuits. The spring-clamp strip provides 29 terminals, supporting the 50 mA open-collector channel and an optional PTC temperature probe interface. Control updates propagate through the processor every 2 ms I/O scan time, so step changes from the fieldbus are carried into the control loop with very little delay. An isolated logic section is powered by the drive’s 24 V DC internal supply, and PTC evaluation shuts the inverter down if a stator sensor overheats. This combination supports stable response during repeated starts, stops, and short-cycle speed changes.
