Product Description:
The 10.F5.B1B-Y001 is an axis drive module produced by KEB and assigned to the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. As a component in multi-axis automation, the module converts fixed mains power into variable-frequency output so that servomotors or induction motors can be speed-controlled in packaging, material handling, or process equipment. Its flat-rear cooling version allows the heatsink to sit outside a control enclosure, which helps remove heat without increasing cabinet temperature. The internal braking transistor also supports rapid motor deceleration without requiring separate external braking hardware.
The drive accepts a three-phase supply of 400 V and modulates it through an inverter bridge that switches at 2 kHz. Protection against phase-to-phase faults is handled by an overcurrent trip that activates at 150% of rated output. The drive includes 5 opto-isolated digital inputs for start, stop, and direction commands, which suits simple machine interfaces. Internal processing refreshes field data every 2 ms, allowing tight velocity loops with PNP control logic. Four additional software I/O points supplement the physical terminals for status flags or parameter writes.
During dynamic load changes, the drive can deliver a short-time current of 125% to overcome inertia before settling to continuous levels. All field wiring lands on 17 control terminals housed in a type-B enclosure, and two relay outputs provide form-C contacts for motor-ready or fault signaling. The power stage is sized for motors up to 3 HP, and inverter size code 10 identifies this mechanical frame. Thermal and particle protection is limited by an IP20 rating, and eight storable parameter sets support quick changeovers. A GTR 7 braking chopper handles excess DC-bus energy, and the lack of an encoder interface keeps the drive suited for open-loop applications.
