Product Description:
The 10.F5.B1B-KA0A is a modular AC drive produced by KEB within the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. Designed as an inverter module, it converts fixed mains power into adjustable output voltage and frequency for regulating small induction or synchronous motors in automated machinery. By combining the power stage with application-level control, the unit supplies speed and torque commands up to its rated motor capacity while using the open-loop vector algorithms associated with the BASIC control option.
One analog input provides 11-bit resolution, allowing fine reference scaling without external converters. A single analog output can retransmit process variables to an upstream PLC or another control device. Five PNP digital inputs accept standard industrial control signals, while two relay outputs can switch field loads rated up to 30 VDC / 1 A. Seventeen control terminals provide fixed connection points for the analog, digital, and relay circuits. A cyclic I/O scan time of 2 ms supports responsive task execution when input states or reference values change. An internal 24 VDC supply powers the control logic, reducing the need for a separate auxiliary source. Drive regulation uses BASIC open-loop flux vector control, and the factory-installed braking transistor dissipates regenerated energy during deceleration. The IP20 housing protects against accidental contact with internal components but requires installation inside a suitable panel in dusty areas.
The inverter uses size code 10 and housing form factor B. Its enclosure measures 220 mm in height, 90 mm in width, and 160 mm in depth, allowing closely spaced installation on compatible DIN rails or backplates while keeping the control terminals accessible. Continuous motor operation is supported up to 3 HP, making the drive suitable for light conveyors, pumps, and other compact machine axes that can use its flux vector control. Relay feedback, analog reference handling, and the integrated braking transistor are available within the same enclosure, so these functions do not require separate control modules.
