Product Description:
The 10.F5.M3D-3AEA is an AC axis drive produced by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It provides closed-loop, field-oriented control for induction motors, allowing precise speed and torque regulation in automated machinery and conveyor lines. An integrated braking transistor dissipates regenerative energy during deceleration, while the built-in EMI filter helps the drive meet conducted-emission limits without requiring separate accessories.
The inverter accepts a three-phase 400 V AC/DC supply and is rated for 2.2 kW of continuous motor power. At nominal load, it supplies 5.8 A, while short acceleration periods can draw up to 10.4 A. A short-term overcurrent capacity of 180% provides additional current for demanding startups before the drive returns to its continuous thermal rating. The switching devices operate at 8 kHz, balancing motor noise with semiconductor losses. A resolver interface with an incremental output provides the feedback needed to close the speed-control loop. Sensor feedback is processed alongside eight digital inputs that can support sequencing and machine-control logic. Two analog inputs accept reference or process signals, while two analog outputs provide real-time monitoring data. The standard cooling system and size 10 enclosure support installation in compact control panels.
The drive has an overcurrent trip threshold of 216%, which isolates the power stage when current exceeds the safe operating limit. Its control system scans all inputs and outputs every 1 ms, allowing external PLC commands and feedback signals to be processed with minimal delay. Enclosure dimensions of 90 × 285 × 221 mm permit vertical mounting in narrow switchgear sections. The drive supports motors rated up to 3 HP, making it suitable for light pumping, fan, conveyor, and positioning applications. Standard airflow carries heat away from the heat sink and helps maintain the required operating temperature. Analog, digital, and resolver connections are consolidated at the terminal block, reducing the amount of external control wiring required during installation.
