Product Description:
The 10.F5.M1D-3ADA axis inverter is produced by KEB and belongs to the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It applies closed-loop, field-oriented control to a three-phase asynchronous motor, allowing automation systems to regulate torque and speed precisely. The D version indicates the power board and connector layout used for this frame size, while a standard varnish finish protects the unit when it is installed inside an IP-rated switchgear enclosure.
The drive accepts 400 V AC/DC input power and has an IP20 housing suitable for ventilated cabinets. Its general motor capacity reaches 3 HP, and its rated output current is 5.8 A. The inverter section operates at a carrier frequency of 8 kHz. Two analog inputs, eight digital inputs, and 29 control terminals connect sensors, enable lines, and process references to the closed-loop regulator. A standard braking transistor dissipates regenerative energy, while size code 10 corresponds to the mechanical outline used by related F5 units. The LCD operator supports serial and CAN communication and provides a peak-output display for live diagnostics and operating adjustments.
For transient demands, the power stage can supply 10.4 A for short periods and has an overcurrent tripping threshold of 216% of rated current. A separate short-term capacity of 180% supports rapid acceleration without requiring the drive to sustain that load continuously. The nominal motor output is 2.2 kW, providing power for applications such as pumps, conveyors, and other automated machinery. The encoder interface provides an incremental input and incremental output, allowing the inverter to read encoder feedback and forward the signal to a supervisory controller. The field-oriented regulator uses this feedback to adjust motor current as operating speed and mechanical load change. The installed braking element also helps manage energy returned to the DC bus during rapid deceleration.
