Product Description:
The 10.F5.L1D-YW0A inverter drive is produced by KEB as part of the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. Designed for axis control, this unit modulates motor voltage and frequency to match load requirements in industrial automation. It integrates with PLC systems through dedicated I/O so that conveyors, indexers, or material-handling stages can receive precise speed and torque commands during operation. The drive’s housing corresponds to size code 10, and it is supplied with an integrated braking transistor that controls the dissipation of regenerated energy, making the product suitable for cyclic or reversing duty profiles found in packaging and assembly cells.
Control flexibility starts with 29 control terminals that host sensor, command, and feedback lines. Two analog channels feature a resolution of 12-bit, while 8 digital inputs accept binary states from limit switches or proximity sensors. The drive reports machine status through 2 digital outputs, which have a combined sink capability of 50 mA. Real-time coordination with the controller is maintained by an I/O scan time of 1 ms, and torque can be stepped to a new setpoint in only 250 µs, supporting fast tension or press applications. Four fixed speeds may also be recalled directly.
The power stage in this model is sized for motors up to 3 HP, making it appropriate for small conveyors or auxiliary axes. The closed-loop torque accuracy is <3% of nominal torque, so load deviations remain limited across the speed range. Two relay outputs rated at 30 VDC / 1 A can switch brakes, contactors, or alarm beacons without external interfaces. Encoder connections are provided on terminal strips for HTL and TTL signals, enabling the controller to use motor position and speed feedback during closed-loop operation. The built-in fast torque function supports rapid response during dynamic motion cycles.
