Product Description:
The 10.F5.G1D-390A is an AC/DC-fed axis drive produced by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It works as a variable-frequency inverter that adjusts three-phase motor voltage and frequency to control speed and torque in automated conveyors, pumps, and positioning axes. Open-loop flux-vector operation is standard, and closed-loop mode can be enabled by adding an external encoder board, allowing the unit to support sensorless or feedback-based motion tasks.
For power conversion, the drive accepts a three-phase 400 V AC supply or power from a compatible DC bus. The input bridge supports mains AC operation, while the DC connection allows the drive to operate from a rectified supply. The IGBT stage switches at 4 kHz, balancing acoustic noise and switching losses. Continuous service supports motors up to 3 HP, while an overcurrent trip activates at 216% of rated output to protect the power section. The housing has an ingress protection rating of IP20, so the drive must be installed inside a control cabinet that prevents contact with live parts and shields it from contaminants. Adequate cabinet ventilation is also necessary to remove heat generated during operation.
The mechanical format uses inverter size code 10, housing type D, and standard cooling. A factory-installed GTR 7 braking transistor controls regenerative energy during rapid deceleration when the drive is connected to an appropriate braking resistor. Short-term overload capacity reaches 180%, enabling brief acceleration peaks before the current returns to its nominal level. The enclosure measures 250 mm high, 90 mm wide, and 181 mm deep, permitting installation in compact cabinet layouts. A varnished coating protects the internal circuits from airborne contaminants. The surrounding control panel provides the additional protection required for the drive’s operating environment.
