Product Description:
The 10.F5.C3B-Y000 is an axis inverter manufactured by KEB as part of the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. The device conditions three-phase power and supplies a pulse-width-modulated output for closed-loop control of servo or induction motors used in conveyors, packaging stations, and general handling axes. It includes an integrated braking transistor and EMI filter, allowing dynamic deceleration and conducted-emission compliance without external modules. The drive uses the size code 10 power stack and the compact housing code B to minimize panel space.
Rated for motors up to 3 HP, the inverter connects to an AC or DC line network at 400 V. Its gate pattern is generated at a switching frequency of 2 kHz, balancing acoustic noise with semiconductor losses. A built-in current sensor trips the output at 150% of the nominal RMS current if a fault persists. Control I/O is updated every 2 ms, so PLC commands reach the power stage with minimal latency. Eight digital inputs, two analog inputs, and two analog outputs allow speed references, enable lines, and process feedback to be wired directly to the unit. No encoder feedback card is installed, leaving the option open for sensorless vector operation or an external feedback module.
The control electronics are powered by an internal 24 V DC supply, allowing the logic to remain active during line voltage dips. Two digital outputs share a maximum sourcing capacity of 50 mA total, which is suitable for status LEDs or interlock coils. For higher loads, the unit provides two form-C relay contacts that can switch up to 30 V DC/1 A. Brief torque surges are accommodated by a short-term current ceiling of 125% of the nominal current, enabling acceleration or load pickup without triggering the overcurrent trip. These functions are coordinated internally so that external controllers receive consistent status information through the available I/O channels.
