Product Description:
The 10.F5.ADD-YWHA is an AC axis drive module produced by KEB as part of the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. Serving as a variable-frequency inverter, it converts fixed three-phase supply lines into a regulated output that allows induction or synchronous motors to accelerate, decelerate, and hold speed precisely in automated material-handling, packaging, or process equipment. A compact D-type housing with integral heat-sink cooling lets the drive mount inside standard control cabinets while protecting the power electronics from ambient dust.
Its electrical window accepts three-phase mains from 305–528 V; at the nominal 400 V point, this corresponds to a continuous apparent power of 4.0 kVA. The unit draws a maximum line current of 8 A and delivers a rated output current of 5.8 A, enabling connection of motors up to 3 HP. A built-in brake transistor and EMC filter form the accessory package so dynamic stopping energy is safely dissipated and conducted emissions are reduced. The unit supports 50/60 Hz mains with a tolerance of ±2 Hz, and the standard control board provides isolated analog and digital channels for speed or torque references.
For intermittent deceleration events, the brake circuit can sink up to 10 A of DC, provided the external resistor is at least 82 Ω. Thermal management is governed by a heat-sink temperature limit of 90 °C; this boundary prevents semiconductor overstress when the enclosure is fitted into densely packed cabinets. The inverter initiates torque production once the commanded frequency reaches 6 Hz, a threshold relevant to low-speed conveyors or lifts. An allowable main fuse rating of 16 A and inverter size code 10 set the upstream protection level and physical footprint without altering parameter adjustments.
