Product Description:

The 09.F5.S1A-YE00 axis drive is built by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It functions as a power stage that converts DC bus energy into three-phase output and supervises motor performance in automated production lines. By integrating control logic, signal conditioning, and braking circuitry, the device provides a compact means of commanding induction or synchronous motors used in conveyors, winders, and material-handling stations. Its integrated design also reduces the number of separate control components required within the electrical cabinet.

Motor regulation is executed through closed-loop field-oriented control, allowing direct adjustment of torque-producing current. Two analog command paths are available; Setpoint Input 1 accepts -10 to +10 VDC, while the second input provides another analog command channel. The digital control terminals have an impedance of 2.1 kΩ and are scanned every 1 ms. These terminals recognize input signals from 13 to 30 VDC. Signal wiring is routed through a 15-pin D-sub socket identified as X3a and a 9-pin D-sub socket identified as X3b. The drive is supplied without an encoder feedback card, so speed estimation relies on the motor model unless an external module is added. Its electronics are contained in housing form factor A. A braking transistor is fitted to dissipate regenerated energy during rapid deceleration and help prevent excessive DC bus voltage.

An internal monitor provides the apparent current as a 0 to 10 V output that scales to 0 to 2 × IN. The actual-speed monitor produces a proportional output referenced to -3000 to +3000 rpm. For auxiliary circuits, the unit delivers a reference of +10 VDC ±5% at 4 mA, which is suitable for potentiometer inputs. Status and fault information is transmitted to external control logic through a relay rated at 30 VDC/1 A. The analog monitor outputs allow external equipment to observe current and speed without interrupting motor regulation. The braking element manages energy returned by the motor when commanded speed is reduced quickly, while the relay provides a separate path for drive status reporting.
