Product Description:
The 09.F5.MBD-Y0P0 is an axis drive module produced by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It provides closed-loop motor control for conveyors, packaging equipment, and other motion tasks in industrial automation. By converting the mains supply and processing I/O signals, the unit regulates motor torque and speed so that mechanical loads follow commanded profiles with repeatable accuracy.
The power stage accepts an input of 400 V AC or a rectified AC/DC supply, supporting three-phase installations on standard plant buses. Its continuous output is rated at 1.5 kW, which matches small to mid-frame induction or synchronous motors used on auxiliary axes. A thermal rating of 4.1 A indicates the long-term current the inverter can supply without exceeding its designed temperature limits, while the peak capability of 7.4 A accommodates start-up or step changes in load. Protection is triggered if phase current rises to 150% of the rated value, shutting the drive down before semiconductor stress becomes critical. An additional short-time current allowance of 125% lets the application ride through brief overloads, such as indexing moves, without tripping.
Control performance is influenced by a switching carrier set at 2 kHz, which shapes the output waveform and limits audible noise. Real-time tasks are updated every 1 ms through the internal scan cycle, coordinating logic between eight digital inputs, two analog channels, and fieldbus data. The unit provides 8 opto-isolated digital inputs for start, stop, or limit switches and offers 29 control terminals overall, including D-Sub connectors on channel 1 with 15 poles and channel 2 with 9 poles for encoder or system wiring. With EMC class C1 compliance and no installed feedback card, the drive can be integrated into panels that rely on sensorless or external feedback methods without additional filtering hardware.
