Product Description:
The 09.F5.M3D-Y080 is an axis drive module produced by KEB as part of the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. The device operates as a power and control interface between industrial controllers and AC motors, providing variable-frequency output for speed and torque regulation in automated lines. With a multi-control architecture, it can be paired with different motor operating profiles even without an internal encoder feedback card, allowing flexibility across packaging, handling, and general motion tasks.
Input and output scaling parameters are handled through high-resolution analog channels; both command input and status output are processed at 12-bit depth, while the speed feedback channel can report up to 3000 rpm at full scale. Pulse-width modulation of the output stage is clocked at 3.4 kHz, a frequency that reduces motor acoustic noise and current ripple. The housing carries an IP20 enclosure rating, so it is intended for installation inside a protected cabinet. Primary protection is supplied by a 16 A gG main fuse, and the built-in braking transistor with EMI filter streamlines dynamic stopping and conducted noise suppression. With a motor rating of 1.5 kW, the unit can start and regulate small to medium machines, provided the application speed never falls below 6 Hz under full load. The unit does not include an encoder card, and the reference output can supply up to 4 mA.
The D-style housing routes airflow across the heat sink, and operation is allowed until the sink reaches 90 °C before derating becomes necessary. Output capability peaks at 2.8 kVA, providing sufficient apparent power for typical small-frame motors handled by this class of drive. Control electronics offer a stabilized reference of +10 VDC for external potentiometers or transmitters. Field terminals accept motor leads with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², which helps maintain conductor ampacity inside compact panels.
