Product Description:
The 09.F5.M3D-0BMA axis drive is manufactured by KEB as part of the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It operates as a variable-frequency inverter that takes single-phase utility power and supplies regulated three-phase output for induction or servo motors used on conveyors, packaging lines, and similar automation cells. By modulating voltage and frequency in real time, the unit supports accurate speed regulation, torque control, and dynamic braking during production cycles. This operating method helps the motor follow controller commands smoothly as load and speed demand change. It can be used where stable axis response is needed for coordinated machine motion.
This model accepts a single-phase 230 VAC/DC supply and draws up to 14 A under rated conditions. An internal braking transistor dissipates regenerated energy, and an integrated EMI filter helps reduce conducted noise on the incoming line. The inverter delivers 7.0 A of output current and up to 2.8 kVA while switching at 16 kHz, which helps reduce audible noise and improves current resolution. Short bursts up to 12.6 A are tolerated for brief demand peaks, and an overcurrent trip threshold of 15.1 A protects the power stage. The permissible line protection is a 20 A gG fuse, which supports proper upstream circuit protection. This arrangement supports consistent inverter operation during routine load changes.
The housing is 90 mm wide, 182 mm deep with the cover fitted, and 250 mm high, giving it a compact footprint for control cabinets. A protection class of IP20 permits installation in clean, ventilated enclosures, and clearly labeled terminals simplify field wiring. The drive can control motors up to 1.5 kW without exceeding its thermal capacity. With a weight of 2.8 kg, the unit is easy to handle during panel installation, and its compact size helps it fit into cabinets where space is limited. The enclosure dimensions also leave room for adjacent components and wiring channels inside the panel.
