It regulates induction or synchronous motors in automated machines by converting DC-bus energy into pulse-width modulated AC, and it includes a braking transistor to manage regenerated power during rapid deceleration. In a multi-axis rack, the unit receives control words from a PLC, interprets encoder feedback, and executes protective trips for precise speed and torque control in packaging lines, material-handling systems, and general factory automation. That control structure helps the drive maintain stable motor behavior during repeated cycles and changing load conditions.
The control interface provides 5 digital inputs for commands such as enable, jog, or limit switch acknowledgment and 2 digital outputs for status signaling, while an additional relay output supplies isolated contact feedback. One analog input accepts a 0–10 V reference, and all I/O is updated every 1 ms to keep response times short.
