The 09.F5.GBD-YM00 belongs to the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series produced by KEB. As a modular axis drive, it conditions DC link power and modulates it into controlled three-phase output so induction or synchronous motors can be regulated in speed and torque within automated machinery. The integrated heat-sink cooling and a braking transistor option let the unit dissipate switching and regenerative energy without auxiliary components, making it suitable for continuous cyclic motion in packaging lines, conveyors, and handling stations.
The drive offers a 24 V auxiliary supply that can source up to 100 mA, allowing proximity sensors or encoder reference switches to remain powered during main-line shutdowns. Its reference output supplies 10 VDC so external potentiometers or analog control cards can generate a speed setpoint without an independent power rail. Command resolution is 12-bit, giving 4096 discrete increments across the programmable speed range and helping minimize velocity quantization at low frequencies. A built-in sinusoidal output filter is tuned to 178 Hz; this limits common-mode voltage and dv/dt at the motor terminals. The inverter’s insulated-gate drivers commutate at 3.4 kHz, balancing acoustic noise, current ripple, and switching losses for general-purpose factory automation.
For digital control lines, each input presents a resistance of 2.1 kΩ, ensuring PLC cards can drive the opto-isolators without excessive sink current. When feedback to higher-level controllers is needed, the analog monitor channel can deliver up to 5 mA, which is suitable for standard 0–20 mA loops. A Form C relay rated at 1 A and up to 30 VDC provides a galvanically isolated fault or ready signal that can be wired into external control circuits. With a mass of 2.8 kg and the D-style housing, the unit mounts easily in dense control cabinets while leaving space for optional I/O or communication boards.
