The 09.F5.G1D-3A0A is an axis drive module from KEB in the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It converts a three-phase mains supply into a pulse-width-modulated output that regulates speed and torque on induction or synchronous motors used in conveying, packaging, or process lines. Integrated power electronics, signal conditioning, and a braking element allow closed-loop motion control in compact industrial panels while keeping the power stage and control functions in one unit.
The drive accepts a three-phase 400 V AC/DC feed and converts it into regulated motor voltage for the connected machine axis. Its three analog command channels accept 0 to ±10 V, 0 to ±20 mA, or 4 to 20 mA signals, all digitized at 12-bit resolution for parameter scaling and stable reference processing. Digital status inputs present a 2.1 kΩ impedance and are polled every 1 ms, allowing quick response to sequence changes and interlock conditions. A front-panel reference output of +10 VDC ±5% with a 4 mA maximum is available for potentiometer circuits. Power dissipation during rapid deceleration is routed to the integrated GTR7 braking transistor supplied as a factory-installed accessory. The control board uses a standard varnished finish and contains no encoder interface, so the drive relies on sensorless control or on feedback handled by external system components.
For downstream devices, the drive provides a voltage feedback channel with a 0 to ±10 V range that is generated at 10-bit resolution for proportional displays or cascaded control loops. During overload events, the inverter can deliver 180% rated current for a short duration before the hardware over-current trip activates at 216%, which helps the axis ride through brief demand peaks. Motor switching commands are produced at a carrier of 8 kHz, and the total sourcing capability of the transistor outputs is 50 mADC, which is suitable for contactor coils or optical relays. These protection and braking functions operate electrically, so no mechanical load sensor is required for overload response or energy dissipation.
