Product Description:
The 09.F5.CBB-YA03 is an AC axis drive manufactured by KEB within the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. Mounted in a control cabinet, the unit converts fixed line power into a variable, pulse-width-modulated output so that asynchronous or synchronous motors follow speed and torque commands from upstream controllers. By executing closed-loop regulation, it supports precise positioning, coordinated multi-axis motion, and energy-efficient operation in conveyors, packaging equipment, and general industrial automation cells.
The drive accepts a three-phase supply at 400 VAC and operates on line frequencies of 50 Hz or 60 Hz. With this input, it delivers 2.8 kVA of apparent power, matching a motor rated for 1.5 kW. Continuous shaft current is limited to 4.1 A, while brief overloads can reach a short-time value of 7.4 A. Carrier pulses are produced at a switching frequency of 8 kHz, and the control algorithm can raise the output frequency to 599 Hz for high-speed machinery. The three-phase topology enables smooth torque generation across the speed range and stable operation when the line voltage fluctuates.
Dynamic stopping energy is handled by an integrated braking transistor that connects to external resistors no smaller than 120 Ω. During deceleration, the drive can route up to 7.5 A into that resistor bank, and its electronic protection trips at 8.9 A to prevent thermal overload. Internal losses are limited to 80 W, so standard cabinet ventilation is generally sufficient. The housing carries an IP20 rating, restricting use to enclosed electrical rooms while allowing straightforward wiring access. An integrated safety relay provides STO functionality without extra modules, and built-in monitoring of line imbalance, ground faults, and heat sink temperature supports reliable service in multi-axis installations.
