Product Description:
The 09.F5.C3B-YQ1A is an axis drive produced by KEB within the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. In a multi-axis automation cell, this device converts fixed mains power into a regulated AC output for servo or induction motors. It allows coordinated speed and torque control based on motion commands issued by higher-level controllers.
The drive accepts a three-phase line and operates at a nominal 400 V AC/DC, so it can be wired directly to common plant power or a shared DC bus. For brief load peaks, the current may rise to 180% of the continuous rating, while an overcurrent trip engages at 216% to protect the output stage. A built-in braking transistor dissipates regenerated energy, and the integrated EMI filter limits conducted noise to adjacent equipment. Vector modulation is refreshed by an IGBT bridge that switches at 16 kHz, helping the connected motor run quietly and with low torque ripple. Two relay outputs rated at 30 VDC and 1 A can forward status flags such as drive ready, and the counter channel monitors position feedback up to 250 Hz for basic speed following.
Machine I/O is scanned every 2 ms, providing timely updates for eight digital inputs, two digital outputs, and two relay contacts. The internal logic is powered from a 24 V DC supply generated inside the unit, so field wiring needs only the main three-phase feed. Analog interfacing consists of two inputs and two outputs, and each output has 11-bit resolution for fine torque references or speed setpoints. Total sink capability of the transistor outputs is limited to 50 mA total, making them suitable for pilot duties such as lamp indication or contactor drive. When a higher pulse count is required, additional encoder modules from the Combivert F5 accessory range can be added without altering these base control characteristics.
