Internal Product Review
The 09.F5.C3B-Y000 is a well-executed KEB F5 Combivert axis drive with an integrated EMC filter and an IP20 enclosure. Standard cooling and 400 V AC or AC/DC input make panel integration and commissioning straightforward in industrial drive systems. The 800 Hz maximum output frequency is a strong performance point for demanding motion control.

Product Description:
The 09.F5.C3B-Y000 drive is a modular inverter produced by KEB and supplied within the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. Designed for multi-axis automation, the unit converts fixed mains power into a variable three-phase output so controllers can regulate motor speed, position, and torque in packaging machines, material-handling lines, and process equipment. As an axis drive, it interfaces directly with PLCs through discrete and analog channels. Its regenerative braking capability supports synchronous or induction motors in compact cabinet installations.
The inverter accepts an input supply of 400 V AC or DC, providing compatibility with common industrial power systems. The drive is housed in an IP20 open-chassis enclosure, so it must be installed inside a protected control cabinet. On the motor side, the power stage can modulate output frequency up to 800 Hz, while the internal IGBT bridge switches at 2 kHz to balance acoustic noise and thermal losses. For dynamic loads, the current can rise to 125% of the nominal value for short intervals. An overcurrent trip is initiated at 150% to protect the semiconductors. These current limits must be considered when selecting upstream fuses and contactors and when setting acceleration torque.
An integrated EMI filter helps reduce conducted electrical interference and supports installation in industrial control systems. The built-in GTR7 braking transistor connects to a resistor bank that absorbs regenerative energy during deceleration. The inverter provides eight digital command lines, two analog inputs, two analog outputs, two transistor outputs, and two relay contacts for PLC commands and process feedback. Standard fan cooling removes heat from the power electronics, and full output ratings are maintained at ambient temperatures from -10 °C to 45 °C. The unit does not include an encoder feedback card, so motor control must use the available feedback and control interfaces.
