Product Description:
The 09.F5.B1B-2B00 is an inverter module produced by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It converts a nominal 230 V AC/DC mains supply into a variable output that regulates induction or synchronous motors in automated lines, conveyors, and packaging stations. By controlling frequency and voltage it replaces mechanical speed control hardware, allowing the machine PLC to adjust motion profiles through fieldbus or hard-wired I/O.
The drive houses its power and control electronics in a IP 20 enclosure and offers one analog reference channel—highlighted by the presence of 1 analog input—together with 5 digital inputs for start, direction, and mode commands. These channels are updated on a tight 2 ms I/O scan, after which status is returned via two relay outputs. A separate 24 V DC internal supply sustains the logic when the main line is off. Signal accuracy is helped by a carrier switching frequency of 16 kHz, which minimizes current ripple. No encoder feedback card is fitted, so the inverter operates in sensor-less vector or V/Hz modes. The installed braking transistor partners with the external chopper typed GTR 7 to bleed excess DC-bus energy during fast stops.
From a power standpoint the unit is rated for 1.5 kW continuous output at 7 A and can supply up to 15.1 A under peak demand. Its short-time overload capacity reaches 180% of rated current, while an over-current trip intervenes at 216 % to protect the IGBT stage. Input may be single- or three-phase without parameter changes, and open-loop control routines compensate for load swings even without encoder feedback. Integration is simplified by consistent parameter structures across the Combivert F5 platform, letting technicians copy settings quickly during multi-axis commissioning.
