Product Description:
The 09.F5.A1D-3AUA is an AC axis drive from KEB that belongs to the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. Designed for cabinet installation, it modulates three-phase input power to provide closed-loop speed and torque control for a single motor. Within automated conveyors, pick-and-place stations, and process lines, the unit links to a higher-level controller and supplies regulated power so mechanical motion follows programmed profiles. KEB integrates standard control electronics and safe power switching for use in existing Combivert architectures.
Rated output of 1.5 kW is available when the inverter is supplied with 3-phase 400 V AC/DC power. Under that condition, the phase modules provide a continuous current of 4.1 A, and the drive tolerates bursts up to 7.4 A to cover peak mechanical demand. The IGBT bridge is clocked at 8 kHz, balancing low motor noise with moderate switching losses. A standard control board coordinates signal processing and includes two analog inputs, two analog outputs, eight digital inputs, two digital outputs, and two relay outputs, giving flexible connectivity for setpoints, feedback, and interlocks. The installed braking transistor routes regenerated energy to an external resistor, preventing DC bus overvoltage while stopping heavy loads.
For short overload events, the unit can deliver 180% of its nominal current for 60 seconds, while overcurrent protection activates at 216% to protect the power stage. Compliance with the electromagnetic emission limit of C1 allows installation on public power networks without additional filters. All command and feedback lines land on 29 spring-clamp control terminals arranged on the front edge of the Housing Type D frame. That enclosure size supports generous cooling airflow, fits standard 300 mm deep panels, and houses all signal terminals without external expansion.
