Product Description:
The 09.F4.S3D-2430 axis drive is manufactured by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It serves as a variable-frequency inverter that links plant power to a single machine axis, regulating motor speed, position, and torque during repetitive automation cycles. The unit includes an integrated braking transistor and an EMI filter, reducing the need for external hardware. Designed for cabinet mounting, the drive uses KEB’s standardized control platform, allowing parameter sets to be transferred across compatible F5 modules with minimal configuration changes.
The type D housing measures 160 mm deep, 90 mm wide, and 240 mm high, permitting compact cabinet placement while leaving room for airflow. Its mounting holes have a diameter of 5 mm, so standard M5 screws can secure the chassis to a backplate. With a nominal output power of 2.8 kVA, the inverter can deliver up to 1.5 kW of mechanical power to the connected motor when operated within its thermal limits. The drive uses the Standard control profile and has no encoder feedback card, so it relies on open-loop or sensorless control algorithms. Conducted and radiated emissions comply with the EN 61800-3 EMC standard for industrial environments.
The inverter carries an IP20 protection rating, making it suitable for enclosed cabinet installations where live parts remain shielded and ventilation slots stay unobstructed. Continuous operation is permitted at ambient humidity levels up to 95% noncondensing. Installation is permitted at altitudes up to 2000 m before current derating is required. The integral EMI filter has a mass of 0.9 kg, and the complete assembly has a total mass of 2 kg, allowing convenient handling during panel installation and maintenance. Wiring for an external resistor bank connects directly to the preinstalled braking transistor, providing a direct path for managing regenerative energy in compact cabinets.
