Product Description:
The 09.F5.M3D-YWGA is an axis drive module manufactured by KEB and grouped within the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It regulates three-phase induction or synchronous motors in industrial automation lines, providing closed-loop speed and torque control for conveyors, packaging machines, and positioning stages. By converting the incoming mains supply into a controlled output, the unit enables precise motor performance adjustments for coordinated multi-axis systems.
The drive operates from an input of 400 V AC or AC/DC, and it delivers a continuous phase current of 4.1 A to the connected motor. When fully loaded, the inverter supports motor outputs up to 1.5 kW, matching small- to medium-frame motors used in auxiliary motion axes. Internal processing is refreshed every 1 ms, so parameter changes and fieldbus telegrams are handled with minimal delay. Position feedback is accepted through a dual-channel encoder interface with TTL In / TTL In inputs that maintain differential signal integrity for incremental sensors. Housing type D provides additional space for busbars and terminal strips, and the standard varnished cooling version relies on convection across coated heat sink fins to remove thermal energy from the power stage.
Installation is simplified by 17 control terminals with screw clamps for digital I/O, analog references, and safe torque off loops. The assembly is secured inside cabinets with IP20 protection, so it must be mounted in a clean electrical enclosure. Continuous service is supported within an ambient range of -10 to 45 °C. Storage is permitted from -25 °C to 70 °C. A factory-installed package of braking transistor and EMI filter dissipates regenerative energy and attenuates conducted emissions, reducing the need for external components and freeing panel space in compact machine frames.
