Product Description:
The 09.F5.M3D-3AG0 is an axis drive module produced by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. The device functions as a variable-speed inverter that integrates into multi-axis automation cells to control the electrical output delivered to a matched motor. By converting the fixed industrial mains into a regulated waveform, it enables precise speed and torque regulation required for conveying, winding, and general material-handling duties. Its compact format permits cabinet mounting beside other F5 modules.
The drive operates on a 3-phase 400 V AC/DC input and processes that supply at a carrier frequency of 8 kHz to minimize motor acoustic noise. Under nominal loading it sources a current of 4.1 A, while transient acceleration demands are supported by a peak value of 7.4 A. An over-current trip threshold set to 216% of the rated level helps prevent damage during faults. For motor outputs up to 1.5 kW, the internal braking transistor diverts regenerated energy to an external resistor, and the factory-installed EMI filter attenuates conducted emissions to surrounding equipment.
Standard air cooling channels draw cabinet air across the heat sink, so no auxiliary fans are required. The enclosure rating of IP20 makes the unit suitable for protected electrical rooms, and its electromagnetic compliance is classified as C1 for residential and light-industrial environments. Feedback connectivity is arranged through two differential TTL links, with Channel 1 on a D-Sub 15-pole plug and Channel 2 on a D-Sub 9-pole receptacle. Because no encoder feedback card is present at the factory, a matching option board can be installed if resolver, SinCos, or absolute position signals are needed. A short-time current margin of 180% supports rapid torque demands during indexing cycles without causing thermal stress.
