Product Description:

The 09.F5.M1D-2BGA axis drive is produced by KEB as part of the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It functions as a compact power stage that modulates voltage and frequency to regulate three-phase motors in automated conveyors, pick-and-place units, and other motion platforms. Dual incremental encoder inputs allow the drive and a connected controller to receive the same position signals, so speed loops and supervisory diagnostics remain synchronized even when machines are cascaded on a common DC bus or grouped as coordinated axes in one machine.

The drive accepts a single-phase or three-phase supply from 180...260 VAC at 50/60 Hz, and its line demand of 14/10 A reflects the difference between those wiring configurations. Internally, the input is rectified to 250–370 VDC before pulse-width modulation at a carrier of 16 kHz. That high switching frequency improves current resolution and lowers audible noise in servo environments. The inverter can deliver up to 2.8 kVA of apparent power, feeding a motor with programmable output voltage from 0 to 240 VAC. A maximum output frequency of 1600 Hz supports high-speed spindles or low-pole permanent-magnet motors during demanding motion profiles.

The housing measures 90 × 250 × 181 mm, so multiple units fit densely inside shallow panels while still allowing airflow across the fins. Ingress protection is rated at IP20, making the drive suitable for clean, filtered cabinets. It delivers up to 1.5 kW of shaft power when paired with two- or four-pole machines and can sustain an output current of 7 A for continuous duty. The integrated GTR 7 brake transistor dissipates regenerative energy during rapid stops, and the incremental encoder input ports help maintain feedback integrity across daisy-chained axes. Motor pole count and switching frequency selection help the same platform adapt to varied motion tasks.
