Product Description:
The 09.F5.H1D-2B0A is an axis drive manufactured by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It converts a single- or three-phase mains supply into a controlled output that commands the connected motor’s torque and velocity. The unit serves as the intermediary between higher-level motion controllers and the motor, supplying regulated power while monitoring current, temperature, and fault conditions. By integrating its power electronics, control logic, and built-in braking transistor into one assembly, the drive simplifies panel wiring in packaging machines, conveyor systems, and machining centers.
The control section refreshes field variables every 1 ms, so position and speed references are processed with minimal latency. The drive provides 8 opto-isolated inputs that accept signals between 13 and 30 V DC, providing noise-resistant connections to PLC output cards for start, stop, jog, fault-reset, and other control functions. Pulse-width modulation operates at 16 kHz, which reduces audible motor noise while keeping switching losses within the capacity of the standard cooling system. For fault protection, the drive trips when the output current reaches 216% of its rated value, protecting the power semiconductors and motor windings during short circuits or stalled-load conditions.
The power module permits short overloads up to 180% of the nominal current, allowing brief acceleration demands without immediate derating. Control electronics, encoder power, and the onboard fan receive power from an internal bus stabilized at 24 V DC, eliminating the need for a separate supply for those components. The line connection accepts single- or three-phase 230 V AC, or 230 V DC, allowing the unit to operate with several common industrial power arrangements. The enclosure measures 90 × 250 × 181 mm, fitting inside shallow cabinets while providing space for 29 spring-clamp terminals arranged along the housing. An ASCL vector algorithm regulates motor speed without encoder feedback, while standard air cooling keeps internal components within their operating temperature limits during continuous use.
