Product Description:
The 09.F5.G1D-YP10 is an axis drive module manufactured by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It converts a fixed-frequency three-phase supply into a regulated output that controls induction or synchronous motors used on conveyors, feeders, and similar automation axes. Mounted in a control cabinet, the drive interfaces with PLCs through discrete and analog signals to deliver the speed and torque profiles required by continuous production processes.
The drive connects to industrial mains at 400 V and delivers a continuous mechanical output of 1.5 kW while drawing a nominal current of 4.1 A. Its short-term overload current reaches 7.4 A, providing additional torque for acceleration or transient load changes. The housing is rated at IP20, so the drive must be installed in a clean, protected enclosure. Flux-vector control operates in open-loop mode, with closed-loop operation available when an external feedback card is added. This configuration does not contain an encoder interface. A built-in braking transistor dissipates regenerated energy, and selectable PNP or NPN input logic simplifies wiring to control panels with different signal requirements. Two analog inputs, two analog outputs, eight digital inputs, and two digital outputs accommodate process variables and status signals without external expansion.
The two analog inputs provide 12-bit resolution, while the analog outputs provide 11-bit resolution for precise speed adjustments and torque reference generation. The counter input handles frequencies up to 500 Hz for basic position counting, and the overall input and output cycle updates every 1 ms to keep command latency low. Power devices switch at up to 16 kHz, reducing audible motor noise and current ripple. Two relay contacts provide separate isolated channels for external control circuits. Each contact is rated at 30 VDC and 1 A, providing galvanic isolation for fault and status signaling.
