It links a plant’s mains supply to an AC motor, adjusting voltage and frequency so conveyors, pumps, or mixers run at commanded speeds. Its integrated braking transistor dissipates regenerated energy during deceleration, helping the drive manage stopping events without requiring a separate external braking stage.
The drive accepts a nominal supply of 400 V AC/DC from a 3-phase input, and that power is rectified and pulse-width modulated for precise motor-flux control. Under continuous operation, the inverter can deliver 4.1 A, a level aligned with its 1.5 kW rating so standard IEC motors remain within thermal limits. Gate pulses are generated at a carrier frequency of 8 kHz, which balances audible noise and switching losses for general machine duty.
