Product Description:
The 09.F5.CDB-YW0A is an AC drive in the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series engineered by KEB. Installed between a three-phase supply and an induction or synchronous motor, it modulates voltage and frequency so production lines, conveyors, or pumps can match commanded speeds without mechanical gear changes. By converting fixed mains power into a variable waveform, the unit supports efficient motion control in automation cells.
This model is designed for a three-phase input of 400 V AC at 50/60 ±2 Hz and can deliver an output frequency from 0 to 400 Hz. When loaded continuously, it supports a motor rated at 1.5 kW while supplying a phase current of 4.1 A. The internal IGBT bridge uses a normal 8 kHz carrier, balancing acoustic noise and switching loss. Operators can lower the carrier to reduce heat or raise it to smooth torque when the application requires it.
Dynamic events are accommodated by a peak bridge current of 7.5 A through the built-in braking chopper when an external resistor of at least 120 Ω is installed. Thermal integrity is guarded by a heat-sink sensor that trips at a maximum of 90 °C, while electronic protection opens the inverter at an overcurrent threshold of 8.9 A. For short overloads, the drive can sustain higher current for a few seconds, and continuous service is permitted from -10 °C to 45 °C.
