Product Description:
KEB manufactures the 09.F5.CBB-2B0A as part of the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. This three-phase inverter is installed between the power supply and an AC motor to control speed, torque, and position in automated machinery. The unit is delivered in a B-size housing that maintains a compact panel depth while accommodating the required power electronics and integrated braking circuitry for dynamic deceleration.
The drive connects to a three-phase supply at 230 V AC and delivers a continuous output of 1.5 kW with a rated output current of 7 A. When load peaks occur, the current limit rises to 15.1 A, providing short-term capacity before a protective shutdown occurs. Output frequency can be modulated from zero up to 800 Hz, enabling the controller to operate standard motors and high-speed spindles. A carrier frequency of 16 kHz minimizes audible noise and improves current resolution, while the internal control loop samples every 2 ms to synchronize vector algorithms with the motor flux. These electrical values affect thermal dissipation, fuse selection, and cable cross-sections for the installation.
Machine control signals are handled by 2 analog inputs, two analog outputs, 8 digital inputs, and two digital transistor outputs that share an aggregate limit of 50 mA. Two relay outputs rated at 30 VDC and 1 A provide isolated status signals to external interlocks. The integrated braking chopper, identified as GTR7, directs regenerated energy into an external resistor so the DC-link voltage remains within its limits during rapid stops. The B-size enclosure groups the input and output terminals near the power blocks to keep internal conductor runs short while maintaining clearances suitable for the continuous output current. A PLC can use these interfaces to command motor speed, monitor the connected load, and activate the stop function without additional gateway hardware.
