Product Description:
The 09.F5.A1D-3A0A is an axis drive module produced by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. The unit converts fixed-frequency three-phase mains power into a regulated output that allows controllers to govern motor torque and speed along a single machine axis. It is suitable for conveyors, gantries, and other coordinated motion tasks in industrial automation.
The drive is designed for a three-phase 400 V supply and delivers a continuous output of 1.5 kW at a rated line current of 4.1 A. Its standard control board offers eight digital inputs that are sampled every 1 ms and two analog inputs with 12-bit resolution. Matching pairs of analog and transistor outputs support feedback or drive-to-drive signaling. A pair of relay contacts provides form-C isolation for brakes or interlocks, while two transistor outputs switch auxiliary loads that do not exceed a combined total of 50 mA. Pulse-width modulation is factory-set to a rated carrier frequency of 8 kHz for most applications. The carrier frequency can be increased to 16 kHz when lower motor noise is required, subject to the drive’s thermal capacity. A braking transistor is preinstalled so excess regenerative energy can be routed to an external resistor without additional hardware.
Peak motoring or regenerative currents are accommodated up to 7.4 A, allowing short overloads without causing a drive trip. The enclosure has an IP20 rating, providing protection against finger contact when the unit is installed in a cabinet. The housing size is coded D and shares its footprint with other 4 A class modules in the Combivert platform. The digital output current limit protects the internal 24 V supply from excessive loading. Two analog outputs can mirror speed or torque references, allowing higher-level controllers to record real-time process variables. The standard board architecture also supports consistent parameter structures when identical drives are used on multiple axes.
