The 07.F5.S1A-YA00 is an axis drive module engineered by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. In industrial automation, it supplies a modulated three-phase output that lets a motion controller command motor speed, torque, and position with high accuracy. By providing this regulated power interface, the drive links the control layer to mechanical loads in packaging machines, conveyors, and coordinated multi-axis assemblies.
The unit integrates extensive I/O so that external sensors and controllers can adjust operating values in real time. The analog input path has 11 bit resolution and refreshes every 1 ms, while the two analog outputs deliver a pulse-width-modulated reference at 3.4 kHz with 10-bit detail. Eight digital inputs present a 2.1 kΩ impedance, and twenty-nine control terminals simplify field wiring. When the application demands rapid torque changes, the fast set-point channel updates in 250 µs. The inverter section itself switches the DC link at 8 kHz, allowing smoother motor current and lower acoustic noise. No encoder feedback card is fitted, so velocity or position information must be provided through an external interface if closed-loop operation is required.
The drive operates in the 400 V voltage class and can supply a short-term current of 180% of its nominal rating during acceleration or peak-load events. Overcurrent protection trips at 216% to protect the output stage from prolonged overloads. A braking transistor is installed, allowing the connection of a resistor bank for controlled energy dissipation when the motor decelerates. The integrated filter shapes carrier harmonics to an output corner frequency of 178 Hz, which helps protect motor insulation from high-frequency stress. Auxiliary transistor outputs provide 50 mA DC in total for relay driving or status indicators.
