Product Description:
The 07.F5.MBD-3BEB axis drive is produced by KEB within the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It regulates the speed and torque of three-phase induction or synchronous motors in automated machinery. By converting fixed-frequency mains power into variable frequency and voltage, it supports coordinated motion tasks on production lines and other equipment that requires adjustable motor control.
It is fed from a three-phase 400 VAC/DC supply and accepts an input window of 305...528 V, allowing stable operation during supply fluctuations. Internally, the rectifier charges a DC link to 420...746 VDC, which sets the upper bus level available to the inverter stage. The unit delivers a continuous output of 2.6 A and 1.8 kVA, supporting motors up to 0.75 kW. Frequency is adjustable from 0...400 Hz, so both low-speed positioning and high-speed spindle functions are possible. An incremental TTL encoder interface on the terminal strip provides position feedback, while a TTL auxiliary signal output can be routed to external counters. The integrated braking transistor connects to a minimum 120 Ω resistor for dynamic deceleration, and a short-time current limit of 4.7 A covers acceleration peaks.
The overcurrent trip threshold is 5.6 A, coordinated with the drive’s thermal model and the 16 kHz switching frequency used by its IGBT bridge. An onboard safety relay removes torque commands when an external emergency stop opens, and the enclosure rating of IP20 permits cabinet mounting in clean zones. The safety relay works separately from the speed-control function, so torque shutdown can be initiated through a dedicated stop circuit. Flat rear cooling conducts heat directly into a backplate, which reduces the need for internal cabinet airflow. The drive weighs 2.7 kg, which helps when it is installed on lightweight panels or densely packed mounting plates.
