Product Description:
The 07.F5.G3B-Z000 inverter is produced by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. As a controlled frequency inverter, it modulates motor voltage and frequency to regulate speed in conveyors, pumps, and positioning axes. The device belongs to the Combivert F5 platform and operates without motor feedback in its standard configuration, making it suitable for general automation duties. Its integrated cooling system supports installation in electrical cabinets without requiring separate airflow equipment.
The inverter accepts an input supply of 230 V AC/DC, allowing connection to compatible alternating-current or direct-current power sources. Its primary regulation algorithm is open-loop flux-vector control, which models the induction motor to maintain torque without encoder feedback. Closed-loop operation can be added by installing a separate encoder board when the application requires direct speed or position feedback. Gate-drive pulses are issued at a rated switching frequency of 2 kHz, balancing audible motor noise with semiconductor losses. For simpler fan and pump applications, the unit can operate in its default V/F open-loop mode, which maps output voltage to frequency. Protection circuitry trips when the line current reaches 150% of the nominal current, limiting thermal stress on the power stage. A factory-mounted braking transistor and EMI filter manages regenerative braking control and attenuates conducted electrical emissions.
During acceleration or sudden load changes, the inverter can deliver a short-term current of 125% of the nominal current, supplying additional torque for brief operating intervals. The Enhanced function level provides expanded parameter menus, multiple speed presets, and additional communication objects beyond the basic profile. The mechanical enclosure uses housing code B, with screw locations and heat-sink dimensions shared by other F5 frame-B products. Internal fans move air across the heat sink to remove heat generated by the power electronics during operation. The open-loop configuration avoids dependence on a motor-mounted encoder, while the available expansion interface permits feedback capability when needed. Control terminals and power connections remain accessible from the cabinet-facing side of the enclosure, supporting orderly routing of motor, supply, and signal wiring.
