The 07.F5.G1B-2B00 is an axis drive module released by KEB within the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. As a modular AC/DC inverter, it interfaces between the plant power line and a servo or induction motor to regulate torque, speed, and position in automated machinery. The unit is supplied in housing type B and uses a standard forced-air cooling path, allowing it to fit compact multi-axis control panels used in packaging and material-handling equipment.
The analog input channel is sampled at a resolution of 12-bit, while outgoing references are generated with a 10-bit DAC and a carrier of 3.4 kHz for stable analog signal handling. The drive offers 8 digital inputs that accept field contacts, and their internal resistance of 2.1 kΩ helps limit inrush current to protect PLC sourcing cards. These inputs are scanned every 250 µs, matching the fast setpoint cycle used for coordinated motion. When the output stage switches at 16 kHz, the controller helps reduce audible motor noise while maintaining responsive torque control. A braking transistor is factory installed, and its maximum transistor output is 50 mADC. An encoder feedback card is not included in this version.
The integrated braking transistor works with the GTR7 chopper circuit to dissipate regenerated energy during deceleration. For short bursts, the inverter delivers 180% of nominal current, and overcurrent protection trips at 216% to protect the IGBTs. Line supply flexibility extends to 1/3-Ph 230 V AC/DC feeds, so the unit can be applied in either single-phase or three-phase installations. Control wiring is arranged across 29 terminals, allowing discrete logic, analog references, and relay outputs to be connected without expansion boards. This layout supports orderly cabinet wiring where several drive-related signals must be terminated in a limited space.
