The 07.F5.E1A-2E2F is an axis drive module produced by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It forms the power and control interface between a machine controller and an electric motor, performing real-time current vector modulation, protecting the motor against faults, and supplying auxiliary low-voltage signals. Within industrial automation systems, the drive coordinates motion so that conveyors, spindles, or gantry axes follow commanded speed or position profiles with tight electrical and timing accuracy.
The power stage is sized for motors up to 0.75 kW and delivers a continuous phase current of 4 A, while transient demands can be met up to 7.2 A without derating. It accepts a single-phase or three-phase 230 V AC/DC input, allowing it to run from single-phase workshop feeds or three-phase plant networks. Pulse-width modulation is generated at a rated switching frequency of 8 kHz, with user selection available up to 16 kHz for quieter operation or lower motor ripple. A built-in braking transistor dissipates regenerated energy, and the drive is supplied in the compact housing identified by form factor code A, simplifying cabinet layout. The built-in 24 V auxiliary rail can supply 100 mA to sensors or relays.
Control connectivity is handled by eight digital inputs that present an impedance of 2.1 kΩ and are sampled every 1 ms to capture fast sequence events. Two analog input channels are digitized at 12-bit resolution, providing adequate granularity for torque or speed setpoints. The drive also offers two analog outputs with 10-bit resolution; their pulse-width carrier runs at 3.4 kHz and is smoothed by a 178 Hz post-filter to provide stable feedback signals. An auxiliary TTL stage supports incremental control tasks, while high-precision position loops are closed through the Hiperface encoder interface. All inputs and outputs share the same grounding plane to minimize noise coupling.
