The 07.F5.B3B-0B0A is an axis drive module manufactured by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It synthesizes adjustable three-phase output from a single-phase supply so a single motor axis can accelerate, brake, or hold speed under direct PLC supervision. Within automated conveyors, packaging lines, and material-handling stations, the unit supplies regulated torque and speed that match process commands issued by higher-level control systems.
The unit accepts a 1-Ph 230 V AC/DC input, eliminating the need for a three-phase feed in small panels. The control electronics use PNP logic across 17 control terminals that provide five digital inputs, two relay outputs, one analog input, and one analog output for process values. A carrier frequency of 16 kHz minimizes motor noise and improves current resolution. The compact 90 × 249 × 200 mm frame simplifies installation, while the IP20 housing guards against accidental contact with live conductors. The analog channel can transmit either speed or torque references, and the relay outputs deliver ready or fault status to external circuits. With no encoder interface, the drive operates in sensorless mode and derives speed from motor voltage and current.
During transients, the inverter can source 180% of its rated current for short bursts, and protective circuitry trips at 216% to help prevent semiconductor damage. Regenerated energy is directed to the braking circuit, where the factory-installed transistor drives a GTR 7 chopper so external resistors can dissipate heat safely. Control data are refreshed every 2 ms, keeping analog, digital, and relay information aligned with PLC cycles. An integrated EMI filter limits conducted noise on the supply leads. Without encoder feedback, the drive relies on motor models for speed estimation during normal operation.
