Installed between the mains supply and an AC motor, it creates a programmable output so manufacturing cells can coordinate spindle speed, feeder velocity, or indexing motion without mechanical gear changes. The drive acts as the regulated power stage in industrial automation loops, accepting commands from PLCs and delivering controlled current and voltage to the connected machine axis. This makes it suitable for motion tasks that need adjustable speed, controlled acceleration, and stable torque delivery across changing process conditions. Its role is to vary motor output electronically rather than through fixed mechanical transmission components.
The power section accepts an input of 230 V and can modulate the motor field up to 800 Hz.
