Product Description:
The 07.F5.B3A-RM00 is an AC axis drive manufactured by KEB within the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. Designed for variable-speed control of induction or servo motors in automated machinery, the module converts incoming three-phase line power into a regulated output that the motor can follow. By integrating power electronics and protective monitoring in one housing, the unit serves as the link between a plant power system and the motion components that require controlled torque, speed, and positioning. It is suitable for machine functions that depend on adjustable motor speed and stable drive response during operation.
The drive accepts a line supply of 480 V 3-phase and tolerates an input range of 305–528 V AC to maintain operation across normal mains variation. Its control logic synchronizes with line frequencies of 50/60 Hz ± 2 % for stable regulation of the internal DC link. The inverter section can provide up to 3 × 0…528 V at the motor terminals, so the output voltage scales with the applied supply. A factory-installed braking transistor handles regenerated energy during rapid deceleration, and the integrated EMI filter helps reduce conducted noise in shared control cabinets. These built-in functions reduce the need for separate external components in the panel.
Because the axis module is supplied with no encoder feedback card, it is suited to applications that use sensorless vector control or other operating modes that do not require closed-loop position feedback. Within the Combivert F5 platform, option slots remain available for additional feedback interfaces such as resolver or incremental encoder modules. This allows the drive to be adapted for applications that later require motor feedback. The standard housing already includes the braking and noise-suppression functions, which reduces the need for separate chopper units or external line filters.
