The 07.F5.B1B-RA01 is an axis drive produced by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. Designed as a BASIC open-loop flux vector controller, it converts fixed-frequency three-phase mains power into variable-voltage and variable-frequency output for induction or synchronous motors. The product manages speed, torque, or positioning on conveyors, extruders, and handling modules where sensorless control is acceptable. Its housing follows form factor code B, so it fits standard DIN layouts and preserves airflow paths inside automation panels.
The power stage accepts a three-phase plant supply of 480 V at the standard 50/60 Hz line frequency with a ±2% tolerance. Its IGBTs switch at up to 16 kHz, minimizing acoustic noise and current ripple. The motor frequency can reach 800 Hz, supporting high-speed spindles in addition to standard machines. A single 11-bit analog input converts 0–10 V setpoints, while a matching 11-bit analog output retransmits process data. The drive provides five programmable digital inputs with PNP logic, and 17 screw-type control terminals accommodate sequencing, jog, and alarm circuits. During rapid deceleration, the integrated GTR7 brake chopper uses a factory-mounted braking transistor to divert excess DC-link energy into an external resistor. The nominal output voltage follows the incoming bus voltage to maintain motor torque at elevated speeds.
