Product Description:
The 07.F5.B1B-3B0A axis drive is produced by KEB under the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. Classified as a Basic control inverter, it converts a 400-volt three-phase supply into a variable output that suits light-duty servo and induction motors used on conveyors, pick-and-place hands, and indexing tables. Within these systems the unit supplies closed-loop speed regulation, torque limiting, and line-commutated regeneration. An integrated braking transistor is included so cabinet builders do not need an external chopper, allowing fast controlled stops when process sequences demand rapid deceleration.
The drive accepts a 3-phase 400 VAC/DC input and draws up to 3.6 A under rated conditions. Internally it uses a heat-sink–cooled IGBT bridge that switches at 16 kHz, producing a sinusoidal output of 2.6 A RMS and 1.8 kVA apparent power for the connected motor. A maximum braking current of 7.5 A can be routed through the built-in transistor when a braking resistor of at least 120 Ω is fitted. Supply protection requires a 16 A main fuse on the incoming line, and motor leads must be 1.5 mm² copper. When the switching frequency is set as specified, motor cable length is limited to 5 m to keep dv/dt within insulation limits.
Thermal and installation limits define the permissible environment for long-term operation. Continuous service is allowed until the heat-sink surface reaches 90 °C, at which point drive derating is necessary. The inverter delivers 0.75 kW of mechanical power at the motor shaft while maintaining enclosure protection of IP20, so it must be mounted inside a control panel free of conductive dust. Overall mass is only 2 kg, easing DIN-rail or back-plate mounting. At the rated switching frequency the permitted motor cable run is 5 m, and the firmware stores parameter sets that can be activated without additional expansion cards.
