The 07.F5.B1B-3900 is an axis drive module produced by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It conditions mains power and delivers variable-frequency output to regulate motor speed, torque, and position in automated cells, conveyors, and packaging equipment. By combining power electronics with field-level control terminals, the unit serves as the interface between the machine controller and a three-phase motor. This type of drive is used where stable power conversion and responsive command handling are needed for coordinated machine motion. Its compact architecture places the power stage and control connections in one housing, which helps simplify panel integration.
Electrical performance is centered on a rated input of 400 V AC/DC across a three-phase line. The internal bridge can supply up to 180% of nominal current for acceleration bursts, and the overcurrent circuit trips at 216% to protect the drive and motor. A carrier frequency of 4 kHz shapes the output waveform, while the integrated GTR7 braking transistor dissipates regenerated energy during rapid deceleration. During braking, returned energy is directed into the drive’s braking stage rather than being allowed to raise the DC-bus voltage unchecked. Cooling is handled by air convection, which avoids the need for a separate fan assembly in normal operation.
A remote 24 V DC control supply keeps the logic circuit active during main power loss and allows monitoring when the power stage is isolated. The field interface includes five digital inputs, one analog channel, and two relay outputs on a single terminal strip, and the analog input uses an 11-bit converter for command processing. The onboard I/O scan time is 2 ms, so changes from an external PLC are passed to the drive with low latency. Each relay can switch up to 30 VDC / 1 A for control devices such as contactors, interposing relays, or signal lamps. The terminal layout keeps control wiring organized, and no encoder feedback card is installed.
