The 07.F5.B1B-2B0A is an axis drive module from the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series manufactured by KEB. It connects to a 1- or 3-phase 230 VAC/DC supply and is intended to regulate asynchronous or synchronous motors in small machinery. Within this power class, the unit can command up to 0.75 kW of motor output, making it suitable for positioning tables, feeders, or light conveyor zones. In automation cells, it converts incoming line power into a variable-frequency and voltage output so that motor speed, torque, and direction can be tightly controlled by a PLC.
During continuous operation, the drive delivers a 4 A rated output current, corresponding to 1.6 kVA of apparent power at the terminals. A carrier setting of 16 kHz is used for the IGBTs, lowering audible noise while maintaining current-loop bandwidth. For quick stops or deceleration spikes, the internal brake circuit can absorb up to 7.5 A. If the load demand rises further, the controller permits a short-time phase current of 7.2 A before thermal modeling limits the pulse width. Motor excitation can be reduced to the 6 Hz minimum full-load frequency to support slow-speed torque tasks, and the overcurrent trip is fixed at 8.6 A to protect semiconductors. With 65 W of nominal dissipation, the heat sink keeps junction temperatures within limits when the drive is loaded to its 0.75 kW motor rating.
The drive also has clear installation limits. The housing carries a IP20 protection rating, so it is installed inside a control cabinet with forced airflow to stay below the 90 °C heat-sink ceiling. Operation is permitted up to 2000 m above sea level without derating, and its 2 kg mass eases mounting on DIN rails or backplates. An integrated braking transistor, supplied as a standard accessory, connects to external resistors no smaller than 56 Ω to dissipate regenerated energy during fast deceleration sequences.
