Product Description:

The 07.F5.B1A.TIM1 axis drive is built by KEB as part of the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. Positioned between the plant’s higher-level controller and the motor, this module converts fixed-frequency mains power into a programmable output and exchanges I/O with the automation system, allowing coordinated speed, torque, and position control on continuous-duty and cyclic machines. Software I/O channels, in addition to the hardware points, extend sequencing flexibility without adding more field wiring.

The drive supplies one analog input that is processed with a resolution of 11 bit, and one analog output that can source up to 5 mA with the same 11-bit granularity for feedback tasks. Five digital inputs follow PNP logic, while the control electronics are powered from a separate 24 V DC rail to keep logic alive during main-power interruptions. An I/O scan time of 2 ms ensures timely updating of the five hardware inputs, four software I/O channels, and the eight selectable parameter sets that store application-specific tuning files. Motor excitation can be modulated up to 800 Hz, supporting high-speed spindles and servo motors. One analog and two relay outputs share status or fault signals, and the relay contacts carry field wiring beyond the drive.

A braking transistor is factory-installed, and the internal chopper branch is matched to a GTR7 braking module so regenerated energy is safely diverted to resistor banks. All command and feedback wiring is landed on 17 pluggable spring terminals, simplifying panel wiring. Two form-C relay outputs let the drive switch external circuits, and their capacity of 30 VDC / 1 A covers contactor coils or status lamps; the count of 2 relays aligns with the dedicated fault and ready signals common in KEB-based lines.
