Product Description:
The 07.56.210 axis drive is produced by KEB within the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It converts single-phase line power into a variable output that regulates synchronous or induction motors in automated machines, enabling speed, torque, and position control from a central PLC or motion controller. By combining control electronics with a built-in braking transistor, the unit manages regenerative energy during deceleration and provides a compact solution for conveyor sections, small pumps, or positioners that operate at fractional-kilowatt power levels.
The drive’s power section is rated at 1.8 kVA, and it can deliver a continuous output current of 4.5 A to motors up to 0.75 kW. A single-phase line connection simplifies installation in plants where only one live conductor and one neutral conductor are available, and heat generated by switching devices is removed by 0.3 m³/min of forced air. The housing has a width of 290 mm, a depth of 180 mm, and a height of 160 mm, allowing it to fit in shallow panels, while its weight of 3.5 kg facilitates mounting. Its enclosure carries an IP00 rating, so the drive must be installed inside a protected cabinet. Control terminals accept field wiring up to 2.5 mm², matching common industrial conductors.
Overcurrent and fault clearing are coordinated through a line fuse rated at 20 A, an intermediate-circuit fuse rated at 6 A, and a 0.4 A low-voltage supply fuse that protects the logic section. The converter maintains full output at elevations up to 3000 m above sea level and tolerates ambient humidity levels as high as 95% without condensation, supporting use in high-altitude or damp production areas. An internal braking transistor dissipates excess DC-bus energy during motor deceleration. The specified cooling airflow keeps semiconductor junction temperatures within safe limits even when the rated current is drawn continuously.
