The 07.56.201 drive module is produced by KEB and belongs to the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. Designed as a compact axis inverter, it conditions the intermediate DC bus and generates a three-level PWM output for small AC motors used in industrial handling and packaging equipment. By modulating voltage and frequency, the unit lets a controller assign position, speed, or torque to a single axis and therefore supports coordinated motion inside multi-axis automation cells. This control method also helps the connected motor run smoothly during starts, stops, and low-speed positioning moves.
Electrical protection is arranged in layers. The control electronics are fed through a 0.4 A micro-fuse that guards low-power logic circuits against short circuits. Power sections use a nominal DC link rated for 500 V, so external supply components must tolerate that potential during braking events. The mains input is single-phase, simplifying installation where only one live conductor is available. Under continuous duty, the inverter can deliver 4.5 A of output current, which corresponds to a thermal rating of 1.8 kVA at the specified ambient conditions. Separating protection for the logic and power sections helps limit the spread of faults, and the stated conductor minimum supports acceptable wire heating during operation.
Primary overcurrent protection is handled outside the cabinet by a 20 A main fuse, while the DC link is isolated internally with a 6 A intermediate circuit fuse to confine fault energy to the module. The drive is intended for motors up to 0.75 kW, matching compact fan, pump, or feed axes found on auxiliary stations. Installation sites may sit as high as 3000 m above sea level; above that point, switching devices and capacitors require derating. Because the chassis carries an IP00 rating, it must be mounted in a closed electrical enclosure, which also helps prevent accidental contact with live parts and preserves open airflow paths for cooling.
