Product Description:
The 07.F5.M1D-2BGA axis drive is produced by KEB as part of the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It is intended to regulate speed and torque on three-phase induction or synchronous motors used in machine tools, packaging lines, material-handling cells, and other equipment that needs controlled acceleration and repeatable speed regulation. By converting a fixed mains supply into a variable output, the drive supports precise closed-loop motion when it is connected to an external controller and motor feedback, giving the cabinet a compact single-axis motion-control stage for automated equipment.
The housing measures a depth of 221 mm, a width of 90 mm, and a height of 285 mm, so the unit fits a narrow vertical space inside a standard control panel and leaves room for adjacent components. An enclosure rating of IP20 shields live parts from accidental contact and relies on the host cabinet for airflow. The power section operates from a 3-Ph 230 V AC/DC input and uses an IGBT bridge, while an integrated EMC filter with C1 emission class helps limit conducted noise. The front face carries TTL D-Sub 15-pin and 9-pin encoder ports for incremental feedback, and a factory-installed braking transistor handles regenerated energy while the inverter supplies a continuous 4 A to the motor windings and keeps the encoder connections accessible from the front of the panel.
The permissible ambient spans −10 °C to 45 °C in service and −25 °C to 70 °C in storage, allowing the drive to remain installed during transport and seasonal temperature changes without immediate removal from the machine. During short acceleration peaks it can deliver 7.2 A, giving machines extra torque without oversizing the power stage. Motor selection is supported by a nominal coupling capacity of 0.75 kW, which suits compact axis duties where moderate continuous output is required. The inverter modulates its output at a carrier frequency of 16 kHz, which lowers audible switching noise and improves current control in low-inductance stator windings.
