Product Description:
The 07.F5.B9B-3B0A is an inverter drive produced by KEB within the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. Designed for cabinet installation, the unit converts fixed mains power into variable-frequency output so plant controllers can match motor speed to process demands. In industrial automation, this capability enables precise conveyor speed, coordinated multi-axis positioning, and energy-efficient pump or fan operation without mechanical throttling.
The drive carries an input rating of 3-phase 400 V AC/DC, making it suitable for common European power systems. It uses BASIC open-loop flux-vector control, allowing torque-oriented regulation without external feedback because an encoder interface is not included. A gate pattern based on a 16 kHz carrier minimizes audible noise, while the internal GTR7 braking chopper dissipates excess energy during rapid deceleration. Output frequency is adjustable up to 800 Hz, accommodating high-speed spindles as well as slow conveyors. For transient overloads, the inverter supplies up to 180% of its rated current. Integrated motor PTC evaluation protects the winding from thermal stress, and housing code B indicates the mechanical frame used for this power class.
The analog reference channel has a range of 0 to ±10 V, while five programmable digital inputs accept PNP-level signals. Two relay outputs report drive status to contactors or control circuits. Seventeen pluggable terminals simplify wiring changes, and four software inputs and outputs support parameter mapping inside the controller. Overcurrent protection activates at 216% of nominal current and works with a maximum short-term interval stored in eight selectable parameter sets. The internal scan of all terminals finishes every 2 ms, providing consistent reaction times for sequence logic. Integrated evaluation of motor temperature sensors supports fault detection, and the programmable relay channels can indicate faults or completed sequences.
